In the mornin' is a song about missing someone who you believe should be in your life but is not. Often times, in that circumstance, people have realistic dreams about that person being there only to find that it was only a dream and not reality upon waking up. This song particularly talks about the moment you wake up and realize it was all just a dream.
lyrics
I saw you in heaven
not long ago
You whispered in silence,
a song and a poem
And precious they told me is life
so hold me tight once again
I close my eyes in the morning’
wish I was blind in the morning
you leave so fast in a moment
and I’m just tired of watching you walk away
I felt you in shivers
run down my spine
your memory plays over
in my eyes at night
And precious they told me is life
so hold me tight once again
I close my eyes in the morning’
wish I was blind in the morning
you leave so fast in a moment
and I’m just tired of watching you walk away
in the morning
